ElectionsGA

Hi, I'm Savannah Witt, the Political Editor at ElectionsGA.com. I cover Georgia elections and politics every day - statewide races, legislative fights, local ballot measures, and the voter trends underneath them. A lot of my work is unglamorous: pulling records, reading filings line by line, and showing up at county offices when a story needs real documentation. I care about getting it right because better information makes for better decisions.

I've spent the last several years focused on Georgia's voting laws and how they actually play out in different parts of the state.

I grew up in Boca Raton, but my dad was in the Army, so we moved a lot - Yakima, near Binghamton, a stretch in Tokyo. That taught me to adapt fast, talk to anyone, and pay attention to what actually makes a place work.

I'm self-taught. I learned this work by doing it: reading every document I could find, calling sources directly, and writing under real deadlines. When a story matters, I stay with it until it's right.

I've stepped away from social media completely - I grew up in the middle of it and would rather report in person and have real conversations. When I need to reset, it's usually Fleetwood Mac, Motley Crue, or Role Model in the background.

At the end of the day, this job matters to me. Georgia elections matter. I'll give you the straight facts, without the spin.
