Joshua David Shapiro is an American politician and lawyer who has served as the 48th Governor of Pennsylvania since 2023. He previously served as Pennsylvania Attorney General (2017–2023), chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners, and as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Rochester and a J.D. from Georgetown University. He is married to Lori Shapiro and they have four children.
