Joshua Ivan McLaurin is a Democratic member of the Georgia State Senate representing District 14 (north Fulton County), serving since January 2023. He previously served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023. McLaurin is an attorney whose practice has included business litigation and aviation law, and he is a University of Georgia graduate with a law degree from Yale. In May 2025, he announced his candidacy for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia.
