Vernon Angus Jones is an American politician and former local executive in Georgia. He served as Chief Executive Officer of DeKalb County from 2001 to 2009 and as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives (1993–2001; 2017–2021). He switched from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party in 2021. He ran for U.S. House in 2022 and announced a 2026 campaign for Georgia Secretary of State in October 2025.
