Nabilah Aishah Islam Parkes is an American activist and Democratic politician in Georgia who served as a member of the Georgia State Senate (District 7) from January 2023 to March 13, 2026. Raised in Gwinnett County and a graduate of Central Gwinnett High School, she earned a business degree (BBA) from Georgia State University. Her professional background includes political organizing and campaign work, including serving as campaign manager for Andre Dickens’ Atlanta City Council campaign and working for the Democratic National Committee. In 2026 she resigned her state Senate seat to run in the Democratic primary for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia.
